Credium, a. s. entered the Czech market as a leasing company in 1997. Since 2009, the company has affirmed the third position of the biggest company financing passenger cars, utility cars and motorcycles in transport financing area. The company provides financial lease, operating lease, consumer loans and instalment sale to natural persons as well as legal entities. Apart from non-branded retail financing, the company provides designer financing for FiatCredit, AlfaRomeoCredit, LanciaCredit, Mazda Finance and newly also for ISUZU utility cars. Credium attends the customers in the Czech Republic and the company has functioned in Slovakia via its daughter company, Credium Slovakia, a. s., since 2009.
Nowadays, the company profiles itself as a universal financial company. Credium brand has become a synonym to consumer unsecured financing for credit cards, POS loan and online loan www.nejlevnejsipujcka.cz.
Credium, a. s. is completely owned by the financial company Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance (CA Consumer Finance) which is based in Paris. CA Consumer Finance arised from Sofinco and Finaref fusion (in April 2010) and it has immediately become a leader in the consumer financing market in Europe. The company is aimed at broad range of financial products and affiliated services supply in France and abroad. The company assumes a dominant role in all areas of consumer financing – as are direct selling, POS loan, e-shops, partnerships, insurance and brokerage.
Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance conducts 75,8 milliard Euros (figure towards the end of 2009) and it is the number one in several European markets with its representation in 20 countries. The company serves 26,5 million customers and therefore it became the leading provider of car loans in Europe. The company ´s share in the French market was 19,2 % in 2009.
Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance together with Credium company, a. s. belong to Crédit Agricole S.A., one of the biggest bank groups in the world. In 2009, Credit Agricole S.A. achieved net profit of 3 165 mil. Euros, that is 28% growth in comparison with the previous seasons.
